Leonardo (Marth costume)

A costume that gives Marth the Leonardo model from Nickelodeon Allstar Brawl. Fully netplay compatible, complete with low-poly model, CSP, stock icon, and blinking eye texture animation.

To install:

(Easy) Open an Akaneia iso in mexTool then go to fighters, Marth, Costumes, then add the costume .zip file with the add from file option, then re-export your iso.

(Harder) Open a Melee ISO in mexTool, click yes when asked to install mex.  Click file -> export as -> file system and select an empty folder somewhere on your computer. Now in mexTool click file -> open file system and select the folder you exported to, then click select folder. Go to fighters, Marth, Costumes, then add the costume .zip file with the add from file option. Now export your ISO and optionally delete the file system you exported earlier.

Please complete the required fields.

can you add this costume with DAT or do you have to use mexTool?

I tried with DAT and the game crashes, but I may have just messed it up

mexTool does not work, it just throws errors every time. So sad because this is a great skin that’s impossible to install

My game just bricks as soon as it loads. Are you meant to replace an existing costume? Or rename the file or something? I used Mextool

Can you make a version of this that replaces one of the standard costumes? (Like neutral/blue)

This costume cannot be added to any of the existing DAT files using the DAT Texture Wizard. Doing so will cause your game to crash when entering a match as the character. The reason is likely that the skin was designed to be unique, probably for Akaneia.

Updated Directions:

Download Leonardo Dat FileOpen your Melee ISO File in the M-Ex ToolSelect Fighters > Marth > CostumesClick Import Costume and select the Leonardo DAT File, named “PIMsLe.dat”. This should add a new Marth to the list with name PIMsLe.datYou can still play without doing steps 6&7 but I recommend doing it anyway.Click “Replace CSP” (Character Select Portrait?) and select the PNG file named CSP. Otherwise the character portrait will be a random character when you select the character. Image should load if you did it right.Next you need to upload the stock icon, but the file appears to be invalid. Select one of the other Marth’s, I picked neutral. Then select “Export Stock Icon”. Name it whatever you want, like “stock”, and Save it. Then select PIMsLe.dat and click “Replace Stock Icon”. Select the image you just saved(mine was named stock). The icon should appear to the left of PIMsLe.dat.Click file > Save or File > Export as… > ISO, either workOpen in your emulator to make sure no issues. Select Marth and change colors until you see the updated CSP.Enjoy!
This costume crashes on me sometimes, haven’t figured out why. It might be interfering with another Marth skin I have.
