Vaporwave Melee

A E S T H E T I C Mod pack for 20XX

In 2015 Melee Hell released vaporwave melee to the world. It had about 20 songs, texture changes on some characters and stages, and was based on 20XX 3.02. Over the years I have updated and added to the pack as I felt like it needed more. Now Vaporwave melee has

  • Vaporwave costumes for the entire cast, some even have more than 1
  • Based on 20XX 4.07++, meaning more options and better music playlist features
  • Redone textures on the legal stages
  • Numerous A E S T H E T I C color changes to characters and other effects in the game
  • Over 50 vaporwave songs (with some future funk thrown in)
  • Pre-configured save settings for music playlists and color settings
  • UCF and training codes (as I sometimes use this build for solo practice)

This was something I have added to and enjoyed with friends for years, but I think it’s time to release it publicly. Huge shout outs to the entire smashboards melee hacking threads, as I lurked there for years and read the guides and used their tools to make this. Full credits are listed in the download file as a couple textures were taken from other people’s amazing work over the years, but most stuff in the pack is my own creation, for better or worst.

Distributed as a xdelta file, patching a vanilla melee iso is done just like uncle punch’s training mode mod. Included in the download is an xdelta patcher. Full directions and set up for the save files on nintendont and dolphin are in a long readme file.

Vaporwave Melee is best played on CRT of course.

This is siiiickkkk. I liked the old mod, but definitely felt like it was lacking some stuff. It’s dope that you spent the time to add more to it and also so glad this is built off 4.07++

literally can’t get this to patch onto any ssbm iso as it is offered here. the .xdelta3 file does not properly apply to any “vanilla” melee iso as is directed in the readme. Patches just fine onto already modified isos

Will you make a version of this based off 20XX 5.0?
